It is now available the latest update from NTT DoCoMo for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 Onyx, v5.0.0.1014. I know that most Onyx users wait for a OS 6.0 for Onyx. But I think you must be patient. This new updates seems still a test and trial in the RIM itself to OS 6.0. But if you want to feel the OS 6.0 on BlackBerry Bold 9700 is already leaked a few days ago on the internet.

Or if you want to feel the OS 6.0, maybe you can switch to a BlackBerry 9780 which has the same physical shape as the BlackBerry 9700. The difference is only 5MP in camera, 512 MB ram and already installed OS 6.0 out of the box. Amazon.com released a Kindle application for BlackBerry phones. Not all Blackberry type is supported by Kindle app for Blackberry. The BlackBerry devices compatible with the Amazon application are the Bold 9000 and 9700, the Curve 8520 and 8900, the Storm 9530 and 9550, and the Tour 9630.

The free application lets people browse Amazon’s catalog, read a book’s beginning before purchasing, bookmark locations in books, synchronize the reading location among different devices, and read kindle books on Blackberry in full color. Although books can be annotated on Kindle devices and with the iPhone and iPod Touch application, the BlackBerry application doesn’t permit new annotations.
