1. At Shelf View, do a long press against a book cover icon. Anew menu will appear, scroll down and select the “Delete” icon.

How do I access paid Apps from AppsLib?

• On the home page of www.cobyusa.com, there is an enhancement link for your MID7015. Click on the link and choose option #2. This will guide you through an upgrade to receive paid apps. If you need an Micro SD card to perform this function, please contact us at 800-727-3592. Give your information to the agent and we will send you a Micro SD card with the file already installed. Please allow 5-7 business days for receipt. Note – this is only vaild for the MID7015.

How do I remove widgets from my Main Screen?

• Using the stylus, apply pressure on the widget for about 2-3 seconds. The widget should turn a shade of red and a trash icon will appear on the side. Drag the widget to the trash icon.

How do I switch between Apps?

• Hold down the HOME button located on the side of the unit. A folder will pop up containing all active applications. You can easily switch back and forth between open apps.

How can I import my personal books into Aldiko?

1. Copy your ePub files into the SD card (in the eBooks/import folder). Make sure your ePub file ends with .epub extension.
2. Connect the tablet to your computer with the USB cable.
3. Pull down the status bar of your tablet and then click on USB connected.
4. Now go to your computer, you will be either able to see all files in the Removable disk (E:) already or there will be option for you to open folder to view files.
5. Look for eBooks folder and open it.
6. Look for Import folder and open it.
7. Copy your ePub file(s) into the Import folder, make sure your file(s) end(s) with .epub extension.
8. Go to your tablet, pull down the status bar of your tablet and then click on “Turn off USB storage”.
9. A context menu will be brought up, select “Turn off” option.
10. Go to the Home screen of the Aldiko application, click on “Menu” button of your tablet and then select “Import”.
11. A context menu will be brought up, select “Import” option.
12. Click “OK” to confirm.
13. After the import process completes, a context menu will be brought up to notify you. Select “Dismiss”.

• You have just imported your own books into Aldiko. The imported books will be on the bookshelf. To view your imported books, just simply go to bookshelf, click on the Menu button of your phone, select “Sort” and then “By Download Date” option. Your imported books will be displayed on the top of the bookshelf.

How do I find numbers and symbols on the Touch Screen keyboard?

• On the Touch Screen Keyboard Press the “?123″ key. This will bring up the Numeric pad. On the Numeric pad,press the “ALT” key. This will bring up the symbol keyboard. Press ABC to return to main keyboard.

How do I find my MAC address, so I can connect to my wireless network?

1. Click on Settings.
2. Click on Wireless & Networks.
3. Click on Wi-Fi Settings
4. Click the MENU button, located on the side of the unit.
5. Click on “Advanced”.
6. Your MAC address will appear inthe Advance Menu.

How do I gain access to my tablet if I forgot the unlock pattern code?

This procedure will delete all items (files) and entries on the MID7015-please back up files on your computer if possible first. This is a Master Reset Procedure.

1. Power the unit off. Press and hold the “Power Button” till the “Device Option menu appears.
2. Click “Power Off” and select “OK”
3. Once the unit has been turned off. Press and hold the “back” button(silver tone button) and “power” button simultaneously for eight seconds.
4. When the Android Icon and warning triangle appear , press the “back” button )silver tone button) once.
5. The Android recovery screen will appear. The “Home/Menu” button will allow you to scroll up and down.
6. Press the Home/Menu button to scroll to “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” Then press the “back” button
7. On the next screen Scroll to “yes-delete all user data” Press the “back” button.
8. On the next screen Choose “reboot system now” and Press the “back” button.
9. You will now be able to access the tablet.

Do I have the most updated version of AppsLib?

The Coby Kyros will automatically link with AppsLib to bring you the most updated version. Follow the procedure below to install new updates.

1. Click on the AppsLib icon
2. If there is an update avaialble, there will be an icon on the screen stating Update.
3. Click Update
4. The next page will have a check mark, click on the check mark to approve Update.
5. The next page will give you 3 options, Open, Uninstall, Update. Click on Update
6. The next page will ask you if you want to replace application – Click OK
7. The next pages asks you to install the application, Click install
8. The last page shows Application Installed, Click Done

How do I set the time and date on my Kyros?

From the Main page, scroll the arrow to the left. This will open the function/settings page. Click on settings. Scroll down to date and time. Click on date and date and set appropriately.

How Do I Change Background or Wall Paper On My Tablet?

You can change the background color or Wallpaper by placing the tip of your finger on the main screen for at least 2 seconds. The ‘Wallpapers’ icon will appear below ‘Folders’.

How do I install the firmware update on my Coby MID7015?

Please see our tutorial video and follow these steps.Before we begin you will need to have the following ready. ? The Coby Kyros with a battery level of 30% or more, the USB cable and an empty micro SD card with a minimum of 4G. The Micro SD card should be inserted into the Kyros. Start by going to our website www.cobyusa.com to download the zip file to your computer. The file can be found on the main page for the MID7015. It is titled “UPDATE.ZIP”. It is important that you do not UNZIP the file.Once file has been downloaded to your computer, turn the Kyros on and connect the unit to the computer via the included USB cable. At the top of the main page Go to the navigation bar and scroll down. A menu will open with several USB notifications.Click on the External USB connection. This connection refers to the inserted SD card. A new menu will appear Click on MOUNT. Once complete your computer should recognize the Kyros device. A screen will open and show the Removable Storage drive. If this window does not open, please go to the start menu of your computer and select computer or my computer. There may be several drives shown. Please choose the one that corresponds to the SD card, it should show as empty. Open the drive. Now you may drag and drop the ZIP file into the removable storage drive. This process will take approximately 1 minute to complete.When complete Go back to the Main Screen of the Coby Kyros Once again go to the top navigation bar and Turn off the USB Storage. Another window will appear with a turn off message. Make sure to click on this as well. Disconnect the Coby Kyros from the USB cord attached to the computer. Then Press the Power button, it will again prompt you to power off from the main screen twice.Wait 5 seconds. During this time locate the power button and the return button. Press both buttons at the same time. Continue to hold the buttons down until you see the warning triangle and android logo. Once the symbols appear you may release.Press the return button again. The reboot section will appear. You will use the Home and Menu keys to scroll through this section. The Home key scrolls up and the Menu key scrolls down.Scroll down to Wipe data/factory reset. Press the return button to select. Scroll down to Yes and hit return. The Kyros will notate the Data wipe is complete.Scroll down to Apply SDcard and press return The Kyros will notate Install from SD card complete. This will take approximately 1 minute .Select Reboot system now and hit return keyCongratulations you have just updated your Coby Kyros

I downloaded a game for AppsLIb but I am unable to play on the Kyros

Some games that are featured for download in the AppsLib are not intended to work with tablets. They are designed for cellphones or devices that have controllers. Unfortunately there are no controllers built into the Coby Kyros. Please check the functionality of the game prior to downloading.

Where can I locate drivers for my device?

The unit is a stand alone unit and does not require drivers. If you are trying to transfer music or video, please use the drag and drop method. You can also save the space by utilizing the micro SD card.

How do I unlock the screen?

When the screen is turned off, you have to unlock the screen to resume. To unlock the screen drag the LOCK icon across the screen upwards towards the SPEAKER icon.

Why doesn’t my Kyros touchscreen respond properly when using my finger tips?

There are 2 types of “touch” screens-resistive and capacitive. The resistive screen responds to direct pressure, while the capacitive use electrodes to sense the conductive objects, such as your fingers. The Kyros is a resistive screen. To get optimal results we suggest using the stylus that is included. The stylus is stored in the top left corner of the tablet.

I am receiving error message “AppsLib, server error, please check your connection.”

To remove message you must set the date on the unit. This includes the day, month and year.

I Get The Error Message “Unable to Open Connection to Server”.

The error message that you are receiving means that the unit cannot connect to the internet. Please check your internet setting (SSID and Encryption Key.)If you have not created your router SSID and Encryption Key, then contact your ISP (online provider).

I am receiving and error message when trying to donwload from AppsLib and being forced out.

Screen is frozen.

If screen freezes the consumer needs to calibrate the screen. This is done by touching the each X that displays on the screen. The unit will confirm when calibration is successful.

I cannot connect to WIFI.

In order to connect to WIFI you will need your SSID # If you are not familiar with the #, please contact your Internet Service provider.

My unit is frozen and does not respond.

If the product suddenly has no response or powers off, an elec-trostatic discharge may be the cause. In this circumstance, please follow the procedures for recovery:Reset the player (use a paper clip to gently press the Reset button (on the bottom of the player).Turn on the unit again **IMPORTANT**Back up your data to an external source prior to performing reset.

How do I change the language back to my original setting?

Go to the Settings Menu. Go to the 2nd row, which is Language and keyboard. Click on that. Click on the first option, which is Select Locale. All languages will then be brought up in alphabetical order.

How long should I charge my battery?

The initial charge on the battery should be overnight prior to the first use. After the initial charge, please refer to the set up guide for assistance. The Status Indicator will light orange when the tablet is charging. The Status Indicator will light green when the tablet is fully charged.
